🎓🦅 2026 Senior Spotlight💚🤍

Both the baseball and softball teams clinched conference championships today with wins over Shirley -- the fifth straight for the baseball team!

Parents, state testing for grade K-2 and 7-10 students is next week at West Side! You can help by ensuring your superstar gets a good night's sleep and good breakfast. Plan to arrive on time and limit medical appointments in the morning. Be sure to arrive on time & encourage your child!

Today's scheduled softball and baseball games are on go at Shirley with a start time of 4:30, but the first pitch will be delayed by the Blue Devils Senior Day recognition ceremony.

6th graders participated in a medieval tournament this week. Students competed in a joust, tag on "horseback", and a castle drawing competition. It was a lot of fun!

🎓🦅 2026 Senior Spotlight💚🤍

The West Side Art Club recently took a trip to the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts in Little Rock, where students learned about the different pieces of artwork on display and took a self-guided tour.

Mallory Smith was selected to be a member of Senator Boozman’s Congressional Youth Cabinet for the 2025-2026 school year. Her team worked throughout the year preparing a presentation about AI and how it is affecting society. They made their final presentations at the State Capitol last week and did an amazing job!

Her position on the team consisted of research and data collection, along with presenting. Her areas of research were on job displacement due to AI technology, and the effects of AI on education.

Mallory will continue her work this summer in the Model House of Representatives for Arkansas.
