West Side MK Team survives tough battle with LR Hall
In a match that was tight throughout, the West Side Mario Kart team was able to outlast a tough Little Rock Hall-West squad, 2-1, on Thursday. It was apparent early that this was going to be a dogfight, when the first round ended in a 78-78 tie, forcing a tiebreaker race, which Hall won 21-18. West Side was able to take the next two rounds (86-70, 79-77) to earn the hard-fought win. Multiple first-place finishes by Brooklynn Stephenson and Ramon Hernandez powered the Eagles to the victory. The MK team will be off next week for Spring Break before competing in their last regular season match on April 2. With the win, the Eagles will qualify for AAA state tournament play.

West Side Spring Pictures are set for Tuesday, March 31. Order forms are going home with elementary students this week and parents will need to preorder if they want Spring pictures. Any high school students wanting Spring pictures should see Mr. West for an order form. Also on March 31, kindergarten cap and gown portraits will be taken, and proofs of those pictures will be sent home at a later date. Spring sports photos (baseball, softball, track) will be taken on March 31 as well. Forms are going home with athletes this week. We have received some questions about ordering sports photos that were taken last fall.
