We can't forget our "egg"tra parapro ladies in preK! Mrs. Donna and Mrs. Traci love our youngest Eagles like their own!

More examples of our "egg"tradinary paraprofessionals doing what they do best...love our kids! These ladies can do it all from cafeteria duties to help in the classroom. West Side would not be the same without them.

West Side Elementary Paraprofessionals are "egg"ceptional ladies who go above and beyond for our kids. From recess duty to Easter egg hunts, these ladies always have a smile on their faces and are ready to help in any way!

Unsung Heroes!
Thank you to ALL of our bus drivers who begin AND end our students' school day and ensures that they get to school and back home safely!!!! Your smiles and kind words make a huge difference in students' lives.

This week we celebrate our Paraprofessionals!
Ms. Tammy Carlton provides student support in our social studies and literacy resource classrooms. She also drives a bus route, assists in the cafeteria and with student supervision at lunch. She is always willing to lend a hand where needed!
Ms. Michelle Wolfe provides student support in our 7th and 8th grade math classes, our Career Orientation class, and facilitates two virtual learning classes. Ms. Wolfe has days she may not even know where she will land as she is willing to be plugged in wherever she is needed!
Mrs. Jan Hardin also provides student support in our science classes as well as the math resource room. She also helps with student supervision in the cafeteria and in the mornings. She always has a spring in her step!
Mrs. Evelyn Southerland also wears many hats, including one-on-one student support, student supervision in the cafeteria, at recess, and in the mornings. She facilitates a virtual learning class as well. She is another one that often has to step in to sub in a classroom when we are running shorthanded. Thank you!
All of these wonderful ladies help to make a great education at West Side High School possible!!

This week we celebrate our wonderful school librarian, Mrs. Jennifer Corpier! Mrs. Corpier serves all K-12 students with library services. She also assists with District testing, coaches tennis, co-sponsors the fishing team, and facilitates some virtual learning classes for us. She has many talents and works extremely hard for the students and staff of West Side Schools and the community! Thank you for everything you do, Mrs. Corpier!

Congratulations to Mason Bailey for being a "Caught Being Kind" kid! He helped move a desk for a teacher and used good manners in the cafeteria. Keep up the great work, Mason!

Positive Office Referral: Kadence Dilks, McKenna Knapp, and Sam Corpier
They have worked hard to stay ahead on their distance learning which has allowed them to be able to help build the frames for the marquee letter & numbers for prom. I don't think I would have been able to finish the letters/numbers on time without their assistance. They have also been very diligent about trying to do them right. I appreciate their help so much! (Mrs. Caples)

West Side High School would like to welcome Josh Ballard as the new girls' basketball coach for the 2023-24 school year!
"I was born and raised in Central Arkansas! I won a state championship playing for the legendary Coach John Hutchcraft., and I went on to graduate from UCA. I am married to my beautiful wife Rachel, and we have a beautiful baby girl named Hallie Ray! I am currently the girls' coach at Marshall High School. This year, we led Marshall to a district championship and regional tournament berth for the first time in 15 years. West Side Greers Ferry is home to my family! I met my wife here, we got married here, and we bought our first home here. My brother Jake played ball and graduated from WSGF. My two sisters go to school here as well. We can’t wait to raise Hallie here! WSGF is a prestigious school with a tradition of winning and success. I can not wait to add to that tradition!"
