As a culmination to the CSI unit, Mrs. Teresa's 3rd-6th Grade GT students recently solved their own crime using detective and analytical thinking.

Congratulations to Shawna Carlton on her offer to sign with Lyon College Lady Scots! Because of her achievement and hard work both on the court and in the classroom, she was chosen as a scholar athlete to attend Lyon College in Batesville and play basketball! in the 2023-24 school year. We are so proud of you, Shawna, and wish you the best!





West Side Elementary EAST is working with our local Master Gardeners to get our Courtyard ready for spring.

Congratulations to Carey Bunton for being selected as Mrs. Robin's 6th grade Star Student! The character word for the month was respect, and Carey is always an example of respect to others. Keep up the great work, Carey!


Reminder: The West Side Alumni Games, Pre-register by April 18th.


West Side spring pictures will be taken next Tuesday, April 18. The photo company plans to take spring pictures of EVERY elementary student. Spring picture forms for elementary are being sent home. Those who do not pre-order should receive a proof for online ordering afterwards. Any high school student wanting a spring portrait made should see Mr. West for an order form.
Spring sports photos (baseball, softball, track) will also be taken on Tuesday. Athletes will need their uniforms. Makeup senior portraits, makeup staff portraits and kindergarten cap and gown pics will also be taken, if necessary.

West Side Super Stars did a month long unit over the 5 senses and ended with replicas of each student! What a fun way to learn!

Don't forget today's Grandparents Raising Grandchildren meeting on Friday. We will have a guest speaker from Cleburne County DCFS. This meeting will be held in the WSSD Board Room.
