Congratulations to our WSE students who were "Caught Being Kind" last week! Joseph Orrell - for helping make sure Tanzie walked to the old cafeteria after breakfast. [This helps so much on the sidewalk when cars are moving around in the morning.] Emmalyn Gomez - Emma is always kind. This week a few friends were having some conflicting issues in class and Emma assisted in calming the situation. Justin Corpier - helping Mrs. Debbie carry a case of copy paper into the 5/6 hallway. We continue to look for ways to improve upon our offerings and educational opportunities at West Side High School. We would like your feedback on offering Driver's Education during the school day schedule. We know that insurance for student drivers can be very costly, and many insurance companies still offer a discount for students who have successfully completed Driver's Education. Please complete this short survey if you have a young student driver. Thank you for your time in helping with this decision! https://forms.gle/EStKSjiGSrNshrx17

The overdose epidemic in the United States is a growing threat to public health and safety. In Arkansas, for example, drug overdose deaths soared from 388 in 2019 to 637 in 2021, an increase of 64%. Too often, unused prescription drugs find their way into the wrong hands, including children's and teens'. On Saturday, you can do your part by removing unneeded medications from your home on Prescription Drug Take Back Day by taking them to Greers Ferry or Fairfield Bay Police Departments.
