West Side Softball took another conference win on Thursday against Viola with a score of 10-8. Four of those runs coming from a grand slam from Haley Gentry! The jv fell 2-3. Congratulations, ladies!
West Side baseball fell to Viola 13-10 in the 8th inning after being tied at 10 in the 7th inning. JV won 4-3!

West Side SOAR is completing the FINS program with the Arkansas Game & Fish. Through the program they are learning about fishing, fish anatomy, and their habitat.
At the High School, Friday is a Virtual/Remote Learning Day for Grade 7-12 on-campus students. Parents and students may choose to attend or not attend; however, students who have no Internet should attend campus. Buses will run, and meals will be served. Students who do not complete assignments by 3:08 p.m., whether on or off campus, will be counted absent.
Mrs. Rachel's class enjoyed working with tangrams as a break from standardized testing this week.

West Side earned another conference win on Wednesday, defeating Concord 15-0! The Eagles also honored their 4 senior players, Ashton Klepko, Tanner Fife, Nate Bittle, and Jared Cothren.

Varsity/Jr. Varsity Softball Games scheduled for today has been rescheduled for Tuesday the 27th at Calico Rock at 4:00.
West Side Baseball picked up another win yesterday against Mt. Vernon-Enola. The final was 13-7. The Eagles will have senior night tonight following the Concord game.
The tradition of Senior Faculty Games will continue this year at West Side. The games will be Wednesday April, 21st at 1pm in the Brady-Hipp Arena. High School students need to pay $1 admission to their English teachers and Elementary students need to pay $1 admission to their home room teachers. Order forms for concession stands are going home with elementary students this week. High School students can purchase concessions at the game as well The games are a fundraiser for the Jr Class.
Mrs. Capels' seventh grade art students have been working on paper mache'. Her other art students have been working on portraits. West Side is very proud of their talented students!
The West Side Anglers and SOAR will be hosting a fishing derby in honor of Bobby Cox on May 1st from 2-7 PM at the Bittle's Pond at 149 Section Line Rd. Everyone is welcome to attend, but if you are over 16, you must have a fishing license.
Don't forget to register your child for kindergarten this Friday, April 16th from 11:30-3:00 pm. You will need a copy of your child's birth certificate and social security card. If you prefer not to enter the building, you may come by the circle drive on Wednesday April 21st from 4:00-6:00.
The West Side Baseball team defeated Rosebud 9-1 on Monday. The Lady Eagles played a double header against Rural Special and took wins in both games with a score of 1-0 and 8-1.
