Mrs. Robin's 6th graders recently built catapults in science class as the end-of-chapter project for kinetic and potential energy. We will be launching cotton balls, mini marshmallows, paper balls, and Honeycomb cereal. We will gather data and use it to create a bar graph.
A Grandparents Day drop-in celebration will be held from 8:30 to 10:30 am tomorrow at the Elementary School for Pre-K to Grade 6. GP’s can visit classrooms, the Book Fair in the Library, have a picture taken in old cafeteria and participate in other activities.

Lacy Tutor competed at the Arkansas State Champion Horse Show over the Labor Day weekend. She won multiple awards including, Reserve Champion- Jr. poles, 10th place- Jr. Barrels, 9th- Youth Horsemanship, 3rd- 11-49 Walk Trot, 7th- Youth Western Pleasure

FFA members Lacy Tutor and Haygen Smith made the Junior livestock Auction at the Cleburne County Fair!
The auction starts at 10 am Saturday morning at the Fairgrounds.
The 2024 Yearbooks have arrived! This year's theme is online streaming services. Yearbooks are being sent home with students, and 2024 graduates (or family members) will have to pick up their books at school. Extra copies are available on a first-come basis. We are so fortunate to have our very own Greers Ferry PD here with us in the morning to help greet our kids as they arrive. Miss Jessie's 3rd & 4th grade science students have been busy with science investigations! 3rd grade is learning which environments different organisms live in by sorting them into environments and finding evidence to support their claim. 4th grade took the "1 Meter Challenge" to determine if they could find the angle and distance to let a ball roll exactly one meter.
All golf carts for the 19th annual Eagle/Lady Eagle Golf Benefit Tournament at Tannenbaum have been committed, but teams with their own carts may still enter. Play begins at 9 am Sat 9/14. Contact Keith Brown or Shane Davis @ (501) 825-7241 for information.
