West Side 1st graders enjoyed their field trip on Friday to UCA to see the play, Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus. For extra fun, Mrs. Rachel Smith dressed as a pigeon to drive the field trip bus! So much fun!

Windgate Gallery is located at Hendrix College in Conway and 15 of the 105 pieces chosen from schools all over the state were from West Side! What an honor for our Eagles!

Mrs. Traci's 1st graders have started their Arkansas animal research project that will end with publishing a class book!
West Side Elementary participated in their first ever Beta competition this week, and they did a fantastic job of representing our school! The following students won awards in their competitions: Summerlee Wells, Maci Strayer, Chloe Galeazzi, Anna Oplinger, Micah Ubelhor, Jeinely Ruiz, Sam McCarty, Peyton Lisenbee, and Dirk Hiatt.

February 11 will be spring picture day at West Side! Student will receive fliers to bring home either today or early next week. In addition to spring pictures, high school's spring sports photos will also be this day. This includes baseball, softball, track, and tennis makeups.

6th grade had a lot of fun trying their hand at Chinese calligraphy! This project concludes the study of ancient China.

The West Side 5-8 grade spelling bee will be held this Friday, January 24, at 1:30 PM, in the elementary multipurpose room. If you have a student participating in the bee, you are welcome to join us to watch the competition!
