High School EAST students, Stormy Mason and Christina Justice, recently helped Mrs. Cherie Grizzle organize the SOAR after school shed. She shared ideas with the girls about things they plan to grow this year. The girls were also given the opportunity to brainstorm ideas for the actual plant layout in the courtyard. Thanks for being a huge help to elementary, girls!

More Red Ribbon Week fun at West Side Elementary. Tuesday was Pink Out, Wednesday was Career Day, and Thursday was Red Day. Wednesday's prize winners were: Atlas Wood, Hudson Graham, Madison Graham, Juliana Bible, Lorelei Buster, and Tonya Nail.
The basketball games on Friday at Pangburn will start at 4:00. Junior girls will play first, followed by junior boys, senior girls, senior boys.
West Side High School counselor, Amanda Gentry, together with College and Career Coach, Melissa Ritter organized a college and career fair last week for juniors and seniors. The West Side Junior girls basketball team will play Saturday morning at 9:00am against Pangburn in the Julian Martin Tournament at Concord. The Junior Boys will play at 10:00 against Pangburn.
