Good morning from West Side SD.
I’m sure you have probably heard by now that there will be no on site instruction at public schools for the rest of this semester. Instruction will be delivered via AMI for the rest of this school year. A survey related to the AMI process was sent last night and is on the district Facebook and Twitter pages. We are learning on the fly and would like your input on how the process is working. Please complete the survey to give us your feedback if you have not already done so.
We would like to remind parents of students in grades 3-6 to please pick up a chromebook for your child. You may pick it up from 8:00 - noon any day this week in the circle drive. If you will call ahead to the elementary office someone will get it ready for you, 501-825-7744. Please do not come into the building.
There have been questions regarding how to return the AMI Packets. Parents can do this in different ways. They can send them back on the bus routes as they deliver meals, they can mail them, they can send them digitally if they have that capability, or we have an AMI Drop Off zone at school. The designated "Drop Off" area will be the lobby of the Gathright Gymnasium (old gym) from 8:00 - noon Monday thru Friday. We have boxes with designated grade levels on them. Please do not drop them off at the offices.
Buses will head out with students' meals around 10:30 again today and meal pickup is from 11:00 - noon today as well. Reminder, students will be getting meals for two days today and there will be no meals tomorrow. Two days worth of meals will again be available on Thursday as none will be on Friday.
