Students traveled to Little Rock to view the amazing artwork at the
Arkansas Fine Arts Museum. After their tour, they got to play on the playground located at the Museum.
Parents, the community, students, and employees are encouraged to attend a stakeholder feedback meeting at 6 p.m. today concerning federal programs at West Side. Following an overview of federal programs, stakeholders will be invited to complete the Academic Needs Survey.

Students have worked on a variety of academic and social skills during FLIGHT School this summer.
The Summer EAGLETS celebrated a week of learning with a tour of area parks. They fed the fish at the Fairfield Bay Marina, exercised at the Fitness Park, played hard at Matthew’s Park, and learned about venomous snakes in Arkansas with Ranger Natalie at Woolly Hollow State Park.

Students helped prepare and serve lunch during FLIGHT school.
West Side's SkillsUSA Welders are headed to Atlanta for the National Skills competition with instructor Randy Carr and chief volunteer Ernie Murphree. "I am extremely proud of the boys and all their hard work, said Mr. Carr. "Prayers for safe travels, and we will keep everyone updated."
After learning about murals through lessons and field trips, students worked together to create their own mural!

This week West Side FFA member Logan Fife is showing his Boer goats at the American Boer Goat National Show. The show is in Louisville, Kentucky with 1,000 exhibitors, spectators and participating businesses for the largest annual event in the meat goat industry! This is Logan’s first time showing at the ABGA nationals and he brought home a 10th place out of 75 in intermediate showmanship! Way to go Logan!
