
Ms. Jessie's 4th grade science students recently practiced identifying plant structures and their function. They did an activity where they read a short passage about a plant and then identified structures that protect the plants in their environments..

The Greers Ferry Fishing Derby for ages 4 and up, originally scheduled for Sat 4/5, will be postponed until Sat 4/12 due to the threat of inclement weather.


We are excited to announce the West Side Baseball/Softball Teams will be having an Elementary Day at the Ballpark on Tuesday, April 8, 5 pm for softball and at 5 pm Thursday, April 10, for baseball. Elementary students on 10-and-under teams will be called out with starting lineups to take the field with West Side varsity starters. They will receive a signed game ball from 2025 players and sit for a team picture after the game. We look forward to doing this with all of our Youth teams in the future!

Mrs. Robin's 5th & 6th graders have had a blast with March Mammal Madness this year! Fifth grade had a tie for second and third places with Delany McCabe and Amy Orrell taking 2nd and Izzy Schmidt & Brayden Winkler taking 3rd place. Sawyer Turner took 1st place for 5th grade. Brooklynn Stephenson took first place for 6th grade, while Liam Castro and Layla Myers took 2nd and 3rd.

The West Side Fortnite Duos team of Bentley Wallace (left) and Stephen Paden dispatched the Chelsea (Okla.) Dragons 2-0 in eSports action on Thursday. Way to go, Eagles!

April is known as the Month of the Military Child, and to help recognize these families West Side will wear purple on Friday, Apri l 11th.

Today's regularly scheduled baseball game at Wonderview and softball game at Shirley have been canceled due to rainy weather. To make up the game, softball will play a doubleheader on Senior Night, Tuesday, April 22.



West Side FFA students spent time over spring break and this week preparing for floriculture competitions.
These students will travel to Fayetteville on Thursday to compete in the FFA state floriculture competition💚🦅

Today we held a pep rally to celebrate CTE Programs at West Side! Student leaders from each CTE group shared information with all students about the different programs offered on our campus.
We have three CTE groups competing in different state competitions💚🦅










Due to possible severe weather, there will be no eSports meeting after school today.

Some of the 7th-12th grade GT students visited St. Louis, MO over spring break. They explored Meramec Caverns, the Gateway Arch National Park, the St. Louis City Museum, Union Station, and Top Golf.







There will be a meeting at 10 am Thursday, April 10, 2025, at the West Side District Boardroom, 7295 Greers Ferry Road, in Greers Ferry for parents of Private School/Home School students who reside in the district. The meeting will be to provide information about proportionate share of Special Education services to eligible Private School/Home School students.
