
The public is invited to celebrate Senior Night on Monday, when West Side plays Norfork with Junior Boys, Senior Girls, and Senior Boys games. The Junior Boys tip off at 5 p.m. The ceremony honoring seniors will take place between the senior girls and senior boys games.

The 5/6 EAGLE CHOIR will be singing the National Anthem on Monday, which is Senior Night, prior to the Senior Girls game against Norfork. Tipoff of the junior boys game is set for 5 p.m., and the Senior Boys conclude the evening.

Grade 7-11 parents, students will be taking interim tests on Monday and Tuesday morning. They should arrive rested and well fed or may eat on campus at no cost to families. We want students to show what they know! Questions? Please contact the school @ (501) 825-6258.

The COMMUNITY can help earn scholarships for WSHS and save lives during a blood drive at the school from 9:30-2:30 p.m. Wed. Feb. 2. Appointments may be

Parents, if your child returns to school symptom-free before the full 10-day quarantine or isolation ends, please make sure the student understands that a face mask is required at all times except when eating. The 7th grade basketball games that were scheduled for tonight against Clinton have been canceled. They are rescheduled for February 3, beginning at 4:00 with 7th grade girls, 7th grade boys, and Junior Boys.
Senior night has been moved to January 31. The Senior Night ceremony will begin at 5:00.
The JB, SG, SB game at Viola has been rescheduled for Friday 2/4 at Viola beginning 5:30.

Parents, AWANA at West Side First Baptist Church for Elementary students Youth services for high school have both been canceled for tonight. Students will travel home in their usual manner.

School will dismiss early at 2 p.m. Friday.


West Side parents, we are carefully monitoring the number of quarantined students and staff as the number of positive cases goes up. If needed, we are prepared to temporarily stop on-campus instruction and utilize AMI days. We will continue with school as normal until we feel students and staff are safer at home than at school.

The Pee Wee Basketball Games scheduled for Saturday, January 15th, have been canceled!


Students in our after school EAGLETs class practiced their math skills by forming polyhedrons. After building their individual polyhedrons, they engineered them into a freestanding structure.


The West Side Lady Eagles Softball Team will be hosting a skills camp for 3rd -6th grade girls on Jan 17 in the Old Gym. Cost for the camp will be $10 if students pre register and $15 at the door the day of the camp. The time of the camp will be 5:30-6:45. This will allow peewee basketball players in 3rd-5th grades to stay after their practice. Coach Ken has also graciously agreed to move 6th grade girls practice to 7:00 in order for his girls to attend.
