School is dismissing buses 11:00 a.m. today due to inclement weather. The Eagle Bus will be running the Frosty Route schedule.

STAR STUDENT: DELANEY MCCABE Congratulations to Delaney McCabe for being selected as the Star Student in Mrs. Jennifer's 2nd grade! The character word for the month was integrity, and Delaney does an excellent job of showing others what that means. She received a water bottle and certificate for her great character! Congratulations, Delaney!

Mr. Caleb's 5th graders reviewed for their American Revolution Test with an olde time tea party! They had a special guest and long-time West Side teacher Mrs. Sandy Smith visit and share a fantastic presentation from her trip to England and even her love of hot tea. It was so much fun!



UPDATE: The Elementary Enrichment Night scheduled for February 28th has been moved to Monday, March 7th from 5:30-6:30.

The Regional Tournament has been postponed a day. Our SB will now play on Thursday and our SG will now play on Friday.

Elementary parents, please look for AMI Day 6 and Day 7 packets, which will go home with students today. Please keep the packets at home in a memorable place in case they are needed later.

STAR STUDENT: MADISON STEVENS Madison Stevens was selected as Mrs. Rachel's 3rd grade Star Student for showing integrity in the classroom. She received a certificate and water bottle for her character! Congratulations, Madison!

Mr. Ramsey's Physical Science students recently completed labs on Archimedes' and Bernoulli's Principle. Mandy Smith is shown conducting the What Floats Your Boat lab and Max Gipson and CJ Parks are demonstrating Bernoulli's Principle with paper airplanes.

Digital Ticketing for the Regional Tournament - Download the "GoFan" app. Create an account, if you don't already have one. Search "Hillcrest Senior High School." Choose Wednesday to purchase SB vs Maynard tickets and choose Thursday to purchase SG vs Maynard tickets. There is no limit to the number of tickets you can purchase. You will need to be able to access the tickets on your phone before entering the gym. We encourage everyone to access your tickets prior to getting to the gym in Hillcrest in case the internet is slow.

With tonight’s District Tournament championship, West Side’s senior boys will enter state regionals to play as a No. 1 seed next week at Hillcrest. The senior girls were runner-up at District and will be a No. 2 seed in Regionals.


West Side’s senior boys won the district basketball tournament championship tonight, adding another title to the undefeated conference championship.

In Saturday's girls and boys district tournament championship games, West Side's senior girls play Norfork at 5 pm, and the senior boys play ICC at 6:15 pm.

To reach tomorrow’s District Tournament finals, the Senior Boys took a 1-point lead on a free throw from Travis Gentry 2.3 seconds left after Concord had tied the game on a 3-pointer with under 10 seconds. They play ICC at 6:15 pm Saturday at Shirley.
